Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
“Sleek, smart and sporty, the ’69 Ranchero is a powerful performing pickup—the ultimate in luxury pickups with quicker handling and quicker, more powerful engines,” proclaimed the Ford's period marketing. The Ranchero combined the practicality of a pickup truck with the style and comfort of a passenger car. The fifth generation of the Ranchero was based on the mid-sized Fairlane platform and featured a 6 ½ ft pickup box offering 39 cu-ft of cargo space. With three trim levels, the standard Ranchero could be transformed into a luxury hauler or a practical muscle car, courtesy of a selection of V8 engines.
Sold new in California, this particular Ranchero was ordered in 500 trim with the optional 351 cu-in “Windsor” 2V (two-venturi carburetor) engine and three-speed automatic transmission, powering the truck with 250 horsepower that was capable of quickly hauling a load of cargo in its double-wall box. A true SoCal survivor, it also has uncommon factory “SelectAire” air conditioning.
