1996 Ferrari F355 Spider
Description
One of the first things Luca Codero di Montezemolo did after being appointed President of Ferrari in 1991 was order wholesale changes to the entire lineup of road cars. Replacing the 348, the F355 was a much improved vehicle, both in terms of styling — owing to the classically beautiful design by Pininfarina — and in the improved performance of its phenomenal 3.5-liter V8 engine. A year after launch, the range grew to include the Spider convertible. This F355 Spider is equipped with the highly desirable gated six-speed manual transmission, and made even more special by its elegant color combination of Nero paintwork over a matching Nero leather interior — suggesting that the first owner wanted to differentiate their Ferrari from the more common Rosso Corsa spec. The car sits on its original 18-inch five spoke Speedline alloy wheels in excellent condition, shod with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Considered to be the last hand-built and truly analog Ferrari ever made, this F355 Spider is ready to be enjoyed on twisty mountain roads to the music of the V8 erupting from the Tubi exhaust.
