Modified 2019 Nissan GT-R Premium
Description
In 2002, when Nissan announced the development of the next-generation GT-R, hopes were high for the successor to the “R34” Skyline GT-R, affectionally known as “Godzilla.” The production version of the GT-R, code-named “CBA–R35” or “R35” for short, was unveiled at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show to the awe of the automotive press. Its scorching performance figures, including 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and an 11.5-second quarter-mile, outpaced the Porsche 911 Turbo, Ferrari F430, and Lamborghini LP640 roadster – the latter worth nearly quadruple the GT-R’s $70,475 price tag. Nissan introduced numerous significant updates to the R35 over the succeeding decade and a half, increasing its engine output from 478 to 565-horsepower, interior and exterior styling updates, and in 2019, a re-tuned transmission reducing gear changes to just 0.15 seconds.
