Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

After World War II, Chevrolet resumed civilian vehicle production and rolled out their new "Advance Design" pickups in May 1947. These trucks boasted modern features such as vent windows, a restyled grill in 1951, and a single-piece windshield in 1954. They were initially powered by the 216 cu-in "Stovebolt" inline-six-cylinder engine, which was later upgraded to the new "Thriftmaster" six-cylinder engine. In 1954, an automatic transmission was added to the ever-expanding list of options and Chevrolet remained the leading truck manufacturer by continuously improving their designs. Today, these trucks are highly sought after by enthusiasts and collectors for their simple yet impressive design features, and even after almost 70 years, a wide variety of suppliers still support them.
