1965 Ford Mustang Hardtop Cold Start
Description
Ford swiftly revolutionized the automotive industry with the introduction of the Mustang at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York, captivating a young generation of enthusiasts, and in so doing, achieving over 120,000 in sales by August of that year. Body styles available included a two-door Hardtop, Convertible, and beginning in September, a Fastback 2+2, all of which were offered with a base 120 horsepower 170 cu-in straight-six or a range of V8s. A 1965 Ford brochure boasted “over 70 Mustang options,” not including the 21 colors available, ensuring virtually infinite customization to suit every customer’s unique tastes.
