2019 Ford GT
Please note that Ford GT highlight video has been added.
Description
Like the famous Ford GT40, the new for 2017 Ford GT was first designed as a racing car and then later worked into a street car. Crucially, this helped the brand re-establish itself in competitive racing with a double-podium finish at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans, fifty years to the day after the original GT40 first won the world’s greatest endurance race. Free from the burdens of the usual committee when building a car, the GT was developed by a small, but carefully selected team of engineers who created this new vehicle in total secrecy, hidden in the basement of the Ford Product Development Center. After receiving nearly 6,500 applications for this desirable supercar, only 1,350 lucky customers were selected as caretakers for the latest Ford GT that will soon conclude production at the end of 2022.
Featuring a highly advanced aerodynamic exterior, the Ford GT utilizes functional design elements that not only look incredible, but also serve a valuable purpose to the vehicle's performance. Utilizing many race-proven technologies, this vehicle is powered by an efficient V6 that won over the hearts of the usual cylinder craving enthusiasts with 647 horsepower. After beginning with a notoriously difficult application process, the new GT is now largely regarded as one of the truest embodiments of a “racing car for the road” which this vehicle's current owner has appropriately enjoyed, just as Ford intended.
