Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
With the muscle car wars of the 1960s coming to an end with ever-increasing fuel economy standards and emissions regulations, the Chrysler Corporation gave one last breath of this performance to the Plymouth Scamp. The Scamp was the smallest hardtop coupe on offer from Plymouth and the perfect starting point for a muscle car. While the base engine was a 198 cu-in 'slant' six, owners could select a 318 cu-in V8, transforming the car from a relaxed cruiser into a real ground pounder. Additional options like the heavy-duty suspension and locking rear differentials only added to the appeal. As when new, these cars are embraced by enthusiasts looking for something different from the more commonly seen Camaros and Mustangs.
