1959 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I Sedan Walk Around and Driving Video
Description
Rolls-Royce introduced the world to the new Silver Cloud in April 1955, and the J. P. Blatchley-designed body was a radical step forward in styling compared to the preceding prewar Silver Dawn. The wonderfully well-proportioned car had a new air of modernity while continuing the Rolls-Royce tradition of high-quality, well-built automobiles. The Silver Cloud would also mark the last usage of the traditional and ultra-smooth 4.9-liter inline-six-cylinder engine, with a long history that can trace its origins back to the original 40/50 HP 1907 Silver Ghost. The car was offered as a four-door sedan or a two-door coupe or convertible, with several different coachbuilders available to meet the styling or appointment requirements of the most discerning owners.
This car is part of the Retro Motors Collection, which comprises over 30 cars largely from the 1950s through today, with a focus on American muscle and high-powered European sports cars. View the full collection here.

Ownership History
This Silver Cloud was built for the United States as purchased by its original owner in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, on 27 April 1959 for $8,600. The car was sold in June 1983, and the second owner moved it to their home in Birmingham, Michigan, keeping the car for a short while; the third owner purchased it in 1985 and retained ownership until it was sold to the Texas-based consignor in 2016.
