1984 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible Top and Power Accessory Operation
Description
Renewed public demand and revised government mandates brought Cadillac back to the convertible market for the first time since 1976. This new generation of Cadillac Convertible was overall smaller in size but certainly not lacking in the charismatic charisma of the previous generation. This redesign made more efficient use of space while still allowing five to enjoy the traditional Cadillac comfort while enjoying top-down cruising. Powering this Cadillac is the HT4100 V8, with the ‘HT’ standing for High Technology, featuring innovative cylinder deactivation only during its inaugural year in 1981. This engine would be the last engine exclusive to Cadillac until the release of the Blackwing in 2019. The original brochure sums this car up the best, saying, ‘best of all… it’s a Cadillac.’
RADwood Ready
RADwood is a festival that focuses on the culture and vehicles of the 1980s and 1990s. RADwood, and the “RADwood Era” are now commonly used to reference this period of bodacious automotive history.
Hagerty took stewardship of RADwood in March of 2022 to build on the company’s purpose to save driving and car culture while expanding and supporting inspiring experiences for automotive enthusiasts.
