Description
Hagerty Marketplace is honored to offer a selection of vehicles from the SugarCreek Collection. This private collection in southeastern Ohio is supported by its own in-house restoration and maintenance shop, with a full-time staff of craftsmen. The garage is a true spectrum of car enthusiast dreams, ranging from unfinished restorations to the most recent SEMA-exhibited 1,000 horsepower 1962 Dodge Power Wagon. Sixteen select cars from the collection are being offered in time for the holidays. Whether awaiting restoration, preserved showroom stock, restored to like-new, or tastefully modified, these cars and trucks are truly SugarCreek quality.
By 1977, Chevrolet was building nearly 50,000 Corvettes each year and the St. Louis plant could barely keep up. It was all that thanks to the Corvette’s wonderful combination of sleek styling, V8 power, and handling prowess.
For the ’77 model year, the Corvette was equipped with a 350 cu-in V8 engine in two versions and was available with a close-ratio M21 four-speed gearbox or a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The Corvette’s interior saw various updates in 1977, including leather seats that came as standard (leather with cloth inserts was a no cost option), a new center console for the heater and air conditioning, and the steering wheel being moved two inches away from the driver. It was also the last year of the “sugar scoop” rear window treatment. Of course, there were the iconic T-Tops pioneered on the C3 Corvette which allowed open air enjoyment or all-weather comfort.
Finished in popular Corvette Orange paint, this 1977 Corvette is powered by the standard L48 180-hp V8 and desirable M21 four-speed manual.
