Description

Poised as the top-tier performance Oldsmobile for the 1970 model year, this Rally Red 442 is eagerly awaiting the chance to become king of the road again. In 1970 - widely regarded as the peak muscle car - GM removed the limit on engines over 400 cu-in, one of the last years before malaise-era emissions standards. The low restriction exhaust allows this breath easy and gives a tiger-like growl from the now standard 455 cu-in V8. While other muscle cars might have more eye-catching styling, Oldsmobile focused on performance while still providing superior ride comfort and handling. The standard stabilizer bars front and rear allow this 442 to take curvy roads in stride while soaking up any unwanted road imperfections.

Highlights

  • A gentleman’s muscle car finished in eye-catching Rally Red with a white vinyl roof

  • 365 hp from a 455 cu-in V8 breathing through the Quadrajet carburetor

  • W25 option code fiberglass cold air induction hood with white vinyl stripes

  • Benefiting from being in dry storage, this ‘garage find’ 442 has been well preserved, awaiting a new owner to bring this sporting Olds back to its former glory.
