17-Mile 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 - walkaround

2013 Ford Shelby GT500 - startup
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
At the time of introduction, the Ford Shelby GT500 was not only equipped with the highest-horsepower engine ever produced in North America to date, but it was also the car that would continue the partnership between the “Blue Oval” and automotive icon Carroll Shelby. Powered by a 5.8-liter supercharged V8, nearly every aspect of the engine was optimized for maximum power including a new cross-drilled block and head, an all-forged engine rotating assembly, updated camshaft profiles, upgraded head gaskets, and a new carbon fiber driveshaft. In addition to increased output, Ford would also provide an upgraded clutch, transmission, and axles to support the 662 horsepower delivered by this impressive powerplant. Serving as the pinnacle of the fifth-generation Mustang hierarchy, the GT500 would showcase an aggressive yet aerodynamic design with a redesigned front fascia sporting a functional hood scoop and a large rear spoiler further emphasizing its performance pedigree.
