Thanks Fuzzy

This ’32 Nostalgic Hi Boy Roadster, owned by Gary Polgar of Bolingbrook, Illinois, is done in nostalgic ’50s style. This car is a home-built project. The only things I had done at a shop were the interior, some of the paint and the welding of the stainless exhaust. Note: The spiders on the wheels are usually only seen on customs in the ’50s.

Chassis
California Street Rods chassis, 4-inch dropped and drilled “I” beam by Super Bell. Posies super slide reversed eye spring, Ford 9-inch with 3:50 gears and posi-traction Halibrand sprint wheels.

Engine
1976 Corvette 350, tri-power, Crower cam, Mallory uni-lite with an MSD box and custom headers. I built and painted the engine at home myself.

Trans
350 Turbo with a shift kit, Lokar shifter. I smoothed the housing and painted it at home.

Body & Interior
Gibbon fiberglass 1932 roadster, hidden hinges, filled cowl vent, power rumble seat, 39 tear drop tail lights, Auto Meter old time white gauges mounted in an engine turned insert. Pearl white tuck and roll on a Tea’s design seat frame. Hand built unit to mount the radio and shift indicator under the dash. 1975 Olds tilt column and Grant wheel. The paint is 1978 Bronco yellow from the two tone white and yellow.

I did all the body work some of the paint, chassis, welding, polished the stainless bolts, fuel lines and other stainless components, assembly, wiring and built the engine in my garage at home. This has been over a 12-year period.
